right-hand passage: the Mousetrap (german: "Mausefalle")

This small hole is not very spectacular - unless you thought you should give it a try in a long boat. Those get stuck here surprisingly tough as the one end of the hole is framed by a rock and the eddy at the other side pushes towards it. Some call it "Mousetrap" for this reason...

Of course there is the soulution just to leave your boat and walk out of that mess as the water downstream is shallow. Note: As the water comes from the ground of the Oker-Dam it is about four degrees celsius all year round.

Looking at it without water you wouldnt guess you could get stuck in this one that hard.
